ND Kids Are Awesome

When I talk to you or your child about ADHD and Autistic strengths, I am being 100% honest and genuine.

Neurodiverse kids may have a lot of struggles, but they also have lots of amazing qualities.

Below are just some of the strengths you can share with your children. Of course, every child is different!

ADHD & Autistic Strengths

Positive ADHD Traits by Neurodiversity Manitoba

Charismatic

Neurodiverse kids may struggle with sustaining focus when they're not fully invested in something, but when something truly grabs their attention, they can zoom in and hyperfocus for long periods of time.

Neurodiverse kids are often highly observant. Although their attention may wander, this allow allows them to pick up on and notice things that others usually miss.

Creative

Many neurodivergent kids have amazingly vivid and unique imaginations. They can be extremely creative, thinking of ideas and solutions that no one else can.

Creativity may come in the form of artistic talents, but there are many ways creativity can shine. Neurodivergent kids are outside-the-box thinkers, which can lead them to be wonderfully innovative.

Courageous and resilient

Neurodiverse kids are often unafraid to speak truth to power, to ask difficult questions, and to have a very strong sense of right and wrong.

While no kids are immune to peer pressure or peer influence, some neurodiverse kids are less likely to follow the crowd, and are less interested in doing what everyone else is doing.

Energetic and fun

A lot of neurodivergent kids are full of energy and playfulness. They often have a wickedly clever sense of humour and love to laugh or make other people laugh.

This, along with their creativity and wild imagination, make neurodivergent kids a lot of fun to hang out with.
